About Us
A little bit about me
To introduce myself, my name is Denise Wake and although not a Gloucester girl by birth, after 25 years I consider this beautiful county to be my home. Before arriving in Quedgeley my life was spent travelling the world with HM Forces, both with my parents and as a soldier in my own right as a member of the Intelligence Corps.
A little bit more about me
My journey in health and social care began many years ago when I was offered a position with NCH Action for Children – this opened a whole new chapter in my life steering me to start my new business in Quedgeley.
Family Matters
Family is important to us all and at Severn Sunrise we are a family run provider. My husband, Gordon, is a director and the ‘back-room boy’ – he has also spent his life in the military. Gordon’s technical background, military discipline, and attention to detail both compliment and support by acting as administrator for all matters not directly involving the care of our clients.
Recently joining us is my daughter Sam our new Business Manager. Sam has acted as our consultant since we started and then joined us permanently after working in the retail and the ecommerce sector where she worked her way up to Directorship, a staff trainer, and Data Protection Officer. Sam joins us with a wealth of knowledge, developing our way of working, training and supporting our staff.
